I prefer nights to days
The tranquility, the black sky
It calms me down for some reason

Just walking along the pathway, leading up to nowhere
The breeze in our hair
With our steps, light as ever

You held out your hand

For a moment, that's all that matters

We are just lonely souls
Seeking solace in each other's company
Away from the world, from everyone else

You get me, you really do
We can talk for hours
But when we don't, I know that you have me in your thoughts

This is all that matters
Nights like this, with you in my mind
